At Pasticceria Gelateria Italiana (PGI) we use only the very finest chocolate from Belgium— Callebaut!

Chocolate Varieties

The dark chocolate bars are made with over 75 per cent cocoa. Taste the roasted cocoa beans in every bite.

Belgian milk chocolate balances the flavour of pure dark chocolate with the subtle smoothness of milk.

White chocolate adds sweetness and the creaminess of milk, with a gentle touch of vanilla.

Ruby chocolate is a beautiful, brilliant pink. The new cocoa bean just recently discovered is a natural blush tone. Intensely fruity, it tastes like creamy white chocolate with hints of raspberry and citrus notes.

Callebaut Gold chocolate is a well-balanced caramel chocolate with toffee and buttercream flavours, with a dash of salt.

About the Callebaut Company

Callebaut began in 1911, when Octaf Callebaut began secretly experimenting with cocoa beans in his hometown of Wieze, Belgium. Neighbours could smell the aroma and wondered what exactly was going on! Once perfected, he introduced his new product Callebaut’s Finest Belgium Chocolate.

Soon bakers, pastry chefs and chocolatiers from Wieze and small villages surrounding it, bought the divine chocolate to use in their shops. By 1960, demand from professionals around the world increased. The product could not be shipped out by the plane load fast enough!

Supporting the Farmers in Africa

Today, Callebaut is recognized as one of the top brands— anywhere! And they haven’t forgotten the farmers.

Callebaut has partnered with Cocoa Horizons.

Cocoa Horizons is part of the Cocoa Horizons Foundation established in 2015, by Barry Callebaut. It is an independent, non-profit organization run by the Swiss Federal Foundations Supervisory Authority. The focus is on building self-sustaining farming communities, protecting both nature and children. The goal is to help farmers prosper.
