These cookies are great tasting.

I have made them several times and changed the butter for lard or shortening. At the same time I would also use the different types of molasses (fancy, cooking and blackstrap) and each type of recipe change gives the cookie a different taste. worth trying

This was easy and made a very tasty loaf! I divided it into three small pans so I could give them away as gifts. I tasted a bit–excellent!
