While our pastry chef is shy about his achievements, we’ve managed to put together this list.

  • Invited to promote Ontario Food and Wine at the James Beard Foundation in New York (2011)
  • First Grand Prize Winner in the Lindt Chocolate Competition (1999)
  • Competed with Team Ontario in the Ottawa/Hull Hot & Cold Culinary Competition (1998) winning two Silver Medals and a Bronze Medal.
  • Winner of The Canadian Federation of Chefs & Cooks (CFCC) Ottawa Branch Ambassador Award
  • Team Ontario member taking home a Bronze Medal at the Culinary Olympics in Berlin (1996)
  • Two Gold Medals and one Silver Medal in the Ottawa/Hull culinary competition (1996)
  • Gold Medal Winner with the Canadian Team at the World Banqueting Competition in Ireland (1995)
  • “Taste of Chocolate” First Prize for the creation of Chocolate Ivory Mousse & Pastiage Lion King showpiece (1995)
  • “Taste of Chocolate” First Prize for the creation of Chocolate Raspberry Mousse and Chocolate showpiece (1994)
  • Won the Gold Medal for Ottawa/Hull Team Table at the Ottawa/Hull Culinary Show (1992)
  • Member of the Ottawa/Hull Culinary Team at the Frankfurt competition earning a Silver Medal and Honorary Diploma (1992)
  • Gold Medal Winner with the Ottawa/ Hull Culinary Team in Toronto (1992)
  • Won two Silver Medals at a Winnipeg competition for chocolate work, including a chocolate truffle showpiece and a chocolate showpiece. (1991)
